The only way to print out the contents of the Notes field is by using the PrtNotes() function. This document describes how to use this function in your mail merge letters.

PrtNote(<nLeft>, <nRight>, <nLines>) - this function now works as follows:
Usage: Mail Merge only, to print Notes.
Parameters: <nLeft> left margin of note area to print.
<nRight> right margin of note area to print
<nLines> number of line of Notes to print. (optional parameter)
Returns: .T. or .F. so must be used with conditional IF().
Length of line is defined as nRight - nLeft +1. A line can be shorter if it ends with a hard return.
If nLine is not provided and there are Notes, then all of the Notes memo field will print. See below for example.
If nLines is provided - then space is reserved for nLines lines of Notes to print in letter. If there are no Notes nLines lines are skipped.
Examples:
{IF( PRTNOTE(10,60,20), "** Notes by John Doe **", "** no Notes **" )}
The above example will print up to 20 lines from the Notes memo field, starting on the line where this function appears in the letter; at 10 characters from the left physical margin (overrides margin settings in letter); to 60 characters from the left physical margin. If there are more than 20 lines of Notes only 20 lines will print. If there are less than 20 lines of Notes blank lines will fill the difference.
If there are no Notes then you will get 20 blank lines followed by '** no Notes **' on 21st line.
If there are Notes on the 21st line will print "** Notes by John Doe **"
{IF( PRTNOTE(10,60), "", "** no Notes **" )}
The above example will print all lines from the Notes memo field, on the line where this function appears in the letter; at 10 characters from the left physical margin (overrides margin settings in letter); to 60 characters from the left physical margin.
If there are no Notes then '** no Notes **' will print on the letter starting where the function appeared in the letter.
If there are Notes then all lines of Notes will print.
NOTE:
Be carefull if you specify the 3rd parameter that that number, plus the number of lines in your letter does not excede your page length. If this happens then the text in your letters will creep further down the page on each subsequent letter printed.
If you do not specify the 3rd parameter and your notes excede one page you may experience page creep.
Either one of the problems can be fixed by inserting a Hard End Letter command (Shift-F3) on the last line of your letter.
