How to upgrade your FMS Distribution setup.

Updating your Farm Management Program(s) Distribution Computer(s) is actually an extremely simple procedure. In fact, it is almost exactly like installing the program(s) for the first time (the same program used for first time installations is used for updates as well.) except that during an update, you may only be installing (updating) only one of the (Farm Management System versions or the Convert Utility) program's files.
Please read this entire document before attempting the procedure(s) described within.
If you have received a disk labeled Convert Utility (in the upgrade package), you will start with that disk, otherwise, you will need to use the disk labeled Convert Utility which you received previously from Information Products.
Place the most recently received disk labeled Convert Utility into either the A: or B: drive (and close the "door" if necessary). For the rest of this document, the floppy drive will be referred to as A: If you are using the B: drive, substitute the letter B for the letter A.
At the C:\> prompt, type A:INSTALL and press the [ENTER] key.
Read and follow the instructions on the first four screens. The Program Files Selection screen will then appear.
As shown on the bottom of the Program Files Selection screen, use the arrow keys to move the highlight to an item in the list. Once the desired item is highlighted, press [SPACEBAR] to toggle the item from Yes to No (On or Off) or vice-versa.
If you are unsure which items need to be selected, follow these basic guidelines;
Once you have toggled all of the items in the selection list to Yes or No, you should then press [ENTER] to move to the next screen.
The following screen simply tells you that the install program is going to unpack all of the files for the selected items and actually do the CONFIG.SYS file modification (if you said yes to that prompt). Press the space bar to pass that screen after you have read it.
The specified files are then copied from the floppy disk(s) to your hard drive.
