This document assumes that you have dialed into the Austin MLS and captured the listing information using the Boris Photocom program. If you have used Information Product's RedCap, or any other communication package then please refer to techfax #0620.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

• Before you dial into the Austin MLS turn off your printer. When PHOTOCOM asks if you wish to Retry or Disconnect the printer, select Disconnect. This will only affect the current session and will prevent all the data you will be capturing from printing at the same time.
• Be sure that Trap Mode (in PHOTOCOM) is set to Trap only Text Chars. (ALT-M for setup menu, under Util/Trapping Mode)
• When using the Austin MLS you must have your access device setting configured as Photo-List/PHOTOCOM (option 2). Otherwise your data will be skewed, preventing conversion.

• Select the proper category Residential

• You will next select your criteria for your search. (I.E. Status, Price Range, Type of Property, etc.).
• When asked for which output report - select Standard Report

Make sure printer is on, then press ENTER:

• If you do not want Tax Info, enter N when prompted. While it is quicker to capture and convert data without the Tax Info, a variety of data (E.G. mailing address, zoning, etc.) is only supplied with the Tax Info data.
• When Boris says to 'make sure your printer is on' - hit ALT-T to start your data capture.
• When you see the questions shown above - you have captured your data! If you are finished, you can exit Boris and use RedCap to convert your captured data!

WHICH TEMPLATE TO SELECT

• If you have RedCap Lite, the Austin MLS templates you need will show under the file/convert menu as:

a_res_nt.!tx for Austin MLS Residential data NO TAX INFO

a_res_pc.!tx for Austin MLS Residential data with TAX INFO

a_ntx_pc.!tx for Austin MLS INTAX standard reports

Please note that the last two letters before the file extension are 'PC' for PHOTOCOM. The templates a_rec_rc.!tx, and a_ntx_rc,!tx are for data that was captured via the RedCap program.

• If you have RedCap (for DOS) the Austin MLS templates needed will show under the file/convert menu as:
